Okmulgee County Offers Bags And Sand To Residents

Okmulgee County Emergency Management is handing a limited number of bags that residents can fill with sand ahead of anticipated flooding in their county.

Okmulgee County Emergency Management says it has a limited number of bags residents can fill with sand ahead of anticipated flooding this week.

Emergency management director Timothy Craighton says the bags and sand are available Wednesday until 4 p.m. at five locations across the county.

  • Okmulgee County District #1 garage at 802 North Broadway in Beggs.
  • Okmulgee County District #2 garage at 611 West Wyandotte Street in Okmulgee
  • Okmulgee County District #3 garage at 31130 South 220 Road in Henryetta
  • Henryetta Fire Department station at 115 South Fourth Street
  • Henryetta City garage at 4th and Corporation Street
