Passenger Pinned Under Jeep In Broken Arrow Crash

Police said a passenger was pinned under a Jeep for a short time after an early Saturday morning crash in Broken Arrow. 

Officers said a 2003 Jeep Laredo was headed west on Florence Street when it went left of center, struck a drainage culvert sending the Jeep airborne into a power pole. 

The crash happened just after midnight.

Officers said a passenger was thrown from the Jeep, which then landed on him. Broken Arrow firefighters lifted the Jeep off the passenger, who was taken by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital. The Jeep's driver was also taken to the hospital.  Police said both were admitted to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Broken Arrow Police are investigating what caused the crash.
