Showers across eastern Oklahoma are moving off to the east Thursday morning. By the noon hour, News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says the eastern half of the state should see a break in the rain with highs in the lower 80s Thursday afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning Thursday for LeFlore and Okmulgee counties and a flash flood watch for Creek, McIntosh, Okfuskgee, Okmulgee and Pittsburg counties Thursday morning.
Crone says the rain is expected to return late Thursday and by the weekend, there is a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms with heavy rain moving into eastern Oklahoma.
