Meals on Wheels is celebrating a major milestone -- 45 years of serving meals to people in the Tulsa area.
They threw a party to celebrate on Friday afternoon at Guthrie Green in the Brady Arts District.
Volunteers passed out free food truck vouchers worth $5.60, which Meals on Wheels CEO Calvin Moore says is significant.
"It takes about $5.60 to deliver a meal to a neighbor in need,” Meals on Wheels CEO Calvin Moore said. “So it's kinda neat way to say thank you and at the same time raise awareness."
Meals on Wheels provides free meals to people who have difficulty leaving their homes.
