Officers arrested Timothy Littrell, 36. at 4:30 a.m. near his apartment at 51st and Memorial on a complaint of domestic assault and battery by strangulation.

Tulsa Public Schools confirmed Timothy Littrell is employed by the district as a wrestling coach at Memorial High School.

Officers said Littrell and his girlfriend got into a fight at a bar and when they left Littrell tried to push the woman out of a moving vehicle on the Broken Arrow Expressway.

At the apartment, Littrell pushed the woman to the ground and choked her until she lost consciousness, the girlfriend told police. She told police he then dragged her into the apartment, but she escaped and called 911.

Police booked Littrell into the Tulsa County jail on a $10,000 bond. Jail records show he has a May 11 court appearance.

The school district tells News On 6 it expects Littrell to be suspended with pay from his coaching duties at Memorial.
