Glenpool Man Arrested In Arkansas Sexual Assault Case

A Glenpool man was arrested on an Arkansas warrant for sexual assault of a minor. Jenks Police arrested Michael Wayne Laws Sunday morning during a traffic stop.

Laws, 28, was wanted in Polk County for having a sexual relationship with a minor female. The alleged relationship took place when he was a church leader at a Mena church, the Polk County Pulse reports. 

He was a volunteer at the church, according to its pastor.

A Jenks police officer pulled Laws over early Sunday for not wearing a seat belt and learned there was a felony warrant out for his arrest.

Laws is being held for transfer to Polk County.
