She's a real inspiration for a lot of women.
Cynthia Bailey made her first trip to Tulsa to speak at the Women of Color Expo on Saturday afternoon.
Bailey stars in the Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she started her career dreaming of modeling.
She made that dream a reality, walking runways in Paris and Milan.
Now she says her mission is encouraging other women to live their dream. She said success is no accident; it's a lot of hard work.
Bailey will be the first to tell you: "Life is about choices."
"I think if you are consistent and clear about what your vision is and what you want to do, then you can accomplish your goals and you can live out your dream," Bailey said.
The expo honored several Oklahoma women who've helped make dreams come true in their community.
Frances Jordan-Rakestraw received the Lifetime Achievement award for her work at the Greenwood Cultural Center.
