Rain isn't stopping Green Country residents from taking part in the 2015 Heart Walk Saturday, April 18. Walkers gathered at ONEOK Field, bringing along their rain gear.

Members of the Jenks Trojan Pride marching band kicked off the fundraising walk by performing the National Anthem during the opening ceremony.

Walkers raised money to battle heart disease and stroke by donating to the American Heart Association. The 2015 Tulsa Heart Walk has raised about $970,000 as of Saturday morning with a goal of close to $1.5 million.

Closing ceremonies were planned for 10:30 a.m., with live entertainment scheduled.
