The News On 6 WARN team expects the chance of severe weather to increase across eastern Oklahoma early Saturday.
News On 6 meteorologist Stacia Knight says storms which develop will push out of central Oklahoma into Green Country overnight. She says some of the storms could reach severe limits with the threat being strong winds, hail and the potential for a tornado during the early morning hours.
Thursday evening, a tornado touched down in Beckham County near the town of Sayre. News On 6 Storm Trackers caught video of the twister as it moved across the countryside. Authorities said they had no reports of any damage.
For the remainder of Saturday, Knight says the main threat for severe weather will be west of Tulsa in central Oklahoma but some of storms could reach into eastern Oklahoma.
