Tulsa Police say a woman stabbed her grandfather Monday morning, seriously injuring him. Authorities are searching for the suspect.

Sergeant Dedlorn Sanders said the two were driving in the area of Pine and Cincinnati when the granddaughter stabbed her grandfather several times. She then jumped out of the car and ran off.

"We're still trying to make contact with her," Sanders said.

The wounded man drove to his home in the 200 block of 52nd Street North and called police. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition, according to police.

Sanders said the suspect is a 23-year-old woman. Family members say she has a history of problems including possible drug use, he said.

Police are investigating the stabbing and want to talk to the granddaughter.

If you know anything that can help police, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
