Tulsa Fire Department is hosting a St. Patrick's Day open house as they continue their fundraising efforts for a fire museum.
The party goes from 2 to 6 p.m. at 1010 East 8th Street - in what used to be the 1931 Fire Alarm Building. Wear your green and come see historic displays of Tulsa's firefighting history.
There will be desserts and drinks - as firefighters hope to bring in the green to fund the purchase of the building that is currently owned by the American Lung Association.
Sitting just east of downtown the Tulsa Fire Alarm building is in nearly perfect condition; the art deco building has been preserved for over 80 years.
You can donate to the effort at the Tulsa Community Foundation website. Just choose "Tulsa Fire Museum Fund" in the drop down menu on the "give now" page.
