Tulsa County residents can safely dispose of household chemicals and toxic hazards in March at the MET's Household Pollutant Collection Event.

March 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., area residents can bring items to the Tulsa County Fairgrounds Gate 7 at 15th and Sandusky. That's just west of the former Driller Stadium.

You can dispose of:

  • Cleaners
  • Pesticides
  • Fertilizers
  • Automotive fluids
  • Cooking oil
  • Batteries
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Small ammunition
  • Smoke alarms
  • Aerosol and hobby paint
  • Pool chemicals
  • Items with mercury and gasoline
  • Out-of-date prescription meds

You can't bring latex paint, tires, electronic waste like computers or phones, recyclables and commercial waste.

The event is sponsored by the Metropolitan Environmental Trust and is free for all Tulsa County residents.
