Traffic at a Broken Arrow intersection could slow after a stoplight was destroyed in a crash Thursday afternoon.

Krista Flasch with the City of Broken Arrow, just before 5 p.m. a woman took the eastbound BA exit ramp to Elm Place and ran into the traffic signal.

Flasch said the woman's Jeep Grand Cherokee was totaled and the stoplight received significant damage.

She said four stop signs have been placed at the intersection until crews can repair the signal, which Flash said could take days.

The driver received minor injuries.

Flasch said police gave the driver two citations for inattentive driving and driving and no insurance.

Drivers are encouraged to take an alternate route until the signal is fixed.
