Claremore Police: Driver Hurt After Crashing During Chase

Claremore Police arrested a man they say led officers on a chase on Highway 66 Monday night. 

Officers said the chase began just after 11:30 p.m. when they spotted a driver headed south in the northbound lanes of the highway in Claremore.

Officers attempted to stop the car, but it kept going, eventually crashing into a ditch near East Ford and Cherokee in Catoosa 10 miles away.

Police said paramedics took the driver to the hospital to be checked out for injuries. Police have not released his name.
