Obi Emegano scored 28 points and Oral Roberts hung on to beat Nebraska-Omaha 81-78 on Thursday.
Korey Billbury's layup with 3:13 put Oral Roberts up 74-69 with 3:13 to go. Randy Reed answered with a layup on the next possession for Omaha. Emegano made a pair from the line and after back-to-back misses on 3-pointers by CJ Carter and Reed, Aaron Young hit 1 of 2 free throws to make it a six-point game again.
Omaha's Devin Patterson made 1 of 2 from the line, and then scored in transition off a Reed steal. After another Oral Roberts turnover, Carter's layup drew Omaha within one at 77-76 with 47 seconds remaining.
But Emegano and Adrian Webber made two free throws apiece, and Tre'Shawn Thurman's desperation heave with one second left just missed.
Oral Roberts (15-12, 8-5 Summit) led 43-40 at intermission. Billbury finished with 14 points and 10 boards.
Patterson led Omaha (9-17, 3-11) with 23 points and Carter had 18.
