The Muscogee (Creek) Nation revealed the name of its planned $22 million golf and entertainment development at RiverWalk Crossing. Construction of the "FlyingTee" will begin any day now on the west side of river.

The new development will include a restaurant, virtual golf range, and sports bar. It's located just across from the Creek RiverSpirit Casino on the opposite side of the Arkansas River.

A family fun zone will provide a place to bring the kids, developers say. There will be no gaming on the premises.

Estimated completion date is spring of 2016.

“We are delighted about FlyingTee starting construction and what we will see from this fun complex and the potential for additional shops, restaurants and entertainment,” Principal Chief Tiger said.

“This is an exciting time for the RiverWalk Crossing as it grows into an entertainment destination for everyone to enjoy.”

The Creek Nation bought the land almost three years ago for $11.5 million. They plan to build the new complex north of the existing shopping center, tearing down the movie theater that closed its doors recently.
