Tulsa Police arrested a man they say entered a family's motel room and got in bed with the couple's seven-year-old child early Wednesday.
Officers were called to the Trade Winds Central Inn at 3121 East Skelly Drive just after 3:20 a.m. They said the man entered the room through a patio door wearing only a t-shirt.
The family in the room awoke to find David Sheriff, 48, of Sapulpa in bed with the child, police said. The parents chased him out of the room and called police.
Sheriff told police he was at the motel to meet a man who owed him money. He said instead of giving him the cash, the man told him to go to a motel room and sleep with the man's wife.
Police said Sheriff had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and told officers he only remembers entering the room and then getting punched.
Police booked Sheriff into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of first-degree burglary and indecent exposure. Jail records show his bond at $25,000 with a court appearance set for February 18, 2015.
