The Tulsa women's soccer team inked Jorja Hughes to a national letter-of-intent, as announced today by Head Coach Kyle Cussen. Hughes joins four other incoming freshmen that signed last week.
“I am excited about Jorja finalizing our 2015 class,” Cussen said. “Jorja has a ton of international experience with the Jamaican National Team and that experience will help elevate our program. She is a solid player in the midfield and we are excited about what she brings to the program and the future of our team.”
Hughes, a 5-4 midfielder from Ontario, Canada, played for the GS United Soccer Club, Oakville Soccer Club and Jamaica Women's National Team. She led GS United to the 2014 Women's Ontario Cup and 2014 Canadian National Championship. With the Jamaica Women's National Team, competed in qualifying tournaments in the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Guatemala and Dominican Republic.
