There were more than just airplanes on the Tulsa Airport runway this weekend. Hundreds showed up for the first ever Runway 5K - where runners used the taxiway and runway along the west side of the airport.

While making their way around the course - they could also take in the sights of all the spectacular planes parked just for this event.

All of the money raised benefits the Tulsa Air and Space museum.

"We were looking for a different idea, and it really clicked," said Tulsa Air and Space Museum board member Lee Hubby.

"Thanks to the Tulsa Airport Authority - or we would've never pulled it off - because it requires a lot of security and coordination - we had to shut this entire area of the airport down."

Runners also got free admission to the museum for the day.
