Tulsa Police say a teenage driver was southbound in the 3800 block of South Harvard when he struck a light pole Sunday morning. The pole snapped in half and fell into the street.

It happened at about 1:30 a.m.

An officer at the scene said the male juvenile had not been drinking when he veered off the road into the pole. He was banged up but did not appear to be seriously injured.

Public Service of Oklahoma was called to the scene to remove the pole and take care of some exposed wires from the light. Both southbound lanes of Harvard were closed as repairs were made.
