A Tulsa woman is arrested after police catch her driving the wrong way down Highway 11. It happened around 4:15 Monday morning.
A police officer saw Hope Egan driving westbound in the eastbound lanes near Yale. She is identified as the owner of the Tall Grass Prairie on the restaurant's website; however, the restaurant states that she is the manager.
The officer had to get in front of her and shine his lights at her to get her to stop. Police say they found alcohol in the vehicle.
Egan was arrested on suspicion of DUI after police say she had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was unsure of her location. An arrest report states she was unable to follow directions in a sobriety check.
Egan could also face felony charges after police tell us she kicked a female deputy as she was being booked into the Tulsa County jail.
The officer was removing Egan's jewelry when the incident took place, police say.
It's the second time in about 24 hours that Tulsa police have arrested a woman on suspicion of DUI after they were found driving the wrong way. Sunday's arrest was made on the Broken Arrow Expressway near Mingo.
