The health department began compiling statistics for the current flu season on September 28, 2014.
The latest influenza statistics show 143 people in Oklahoma have been hospitalized. That is up 30 new cases since last week.

Oklahoma County leads the state 21 hospitalizations. Tulsa County has reported 19 hospitalizations, followed by 13 in Carter County, 12 in Garfield County, nine in Payne County, eight in Cleveland County, seven in Adair County and six cases in Muskogee and Stephens counties.
Cherokee County reports five flu-related hospitalizations followed by four reports in Comanche County and three cases in Greer and McClain counties.
Counties with two hospitalizations so far this year, include Bryan, Custer, Jackson, Kingfisher, Love and Pottawatomie.
A number of counties have had only one flu-related hospitalization. The list includes Atoka, Blaine, Craig, Creek, Jefferson, Johnson, Lincoln, Logan, Marshall, Mayes, Rogers, and Wagoner counties.
