Suspected Armed Robber Out Of Hospital, In Jail Following Police-Involved Shooting

According to police, 30-year-old Michael Muehlberg attempted to rob a check cashing store on Nov. 13, but didn't comply with arrest demands and was shot by police.

The man police shot during an attempted robbery at a Tulsa Check 'n' Go is out of the hospital and in jail.

According to police, 30-year-old Michael Muehlberg attempted to rob the check cashing store on Nov. 13.

Officers said he showed a gun to the clerks and asked them to empty the cash drawer and then to empty the safe.

Court records show a clerk activated an alarm while waiting for the time lock safe to open.

Records say that Muehlberg did not comply with a police when they arrived and he was shot once.

He is charged with attempted robbery with a firearm.
