A winter weather advisory is in effect for extreme eastern Oklahoma from Tahlequah eastward into northwestern Arkansas through 4 p.m. Monday after an arctic air mass moved into Green Country.

There is a slight chance for some freezing drizzle or very light freezing rain in that area.

Any drizzle or light shower activity could freeze on contact with elevated surfaces creating slick driving conditions in a few spots.

Some of the roadways in northwestern Arkansas are being impacted by light drizzle that is freezing upon contact with elevated areas. The chance also exists for far eastern Oklahoma.

The arctic air mass will remain across eastern Oklahoma Monday before temperatures moderate Thursday into Wednesday. Temps should get into the mid 50s on Wednesday.
