Police Search For Man Who Broke Into South Tulsa Food Store

Tulsa Police are looking for a thief who broke into a food store early Tuesday. 

Officers said at around 6 a.m. they received an alarm at the R&R food store in the 6100 block of South Peoria. 

As officers arrived, they saw a man leave the store and attempt to get into a waiting vehicle. Police said when that proved unsuccessful, the man ran toward some nearby apartments with officers in pursuit. Officers were unable to locate the man and the vehicle despite help from a K-9 officer. 

Tulsa Police said the thief took cigarettes and some cash from the store after breaking through the front door.
