'Hanging Man' On Owasso Home Just A Christmas Decoration

A Christmas decoration is Owasso is attracting attention - and at least one call to the police department.

A home near 145th Street and 89th Street North has what looks to be a person hanging from the gutter. The figure is made of a hooded sweatshirt, jeans and tennis shoes trailing a line of Christmas lights.

It looks like someone hanging lights found himself hanging by his fingertips instead.

Owassoisms posted a photo of the decoration on its Facebook page Monday morning, telling citizens there's no need to worry - it's not a real person.

Owasso Police report that they were dispatched to the scene after a concerned citizen called in. A records supervisor said a woman was quite upset over the joke after thinking someone might need help.

It's not unusual to see a similar Halloween decoration, but it's not expected at Christmas, the supervisor noted.

"You always have that person who likes to be different," she said.
