The Keystone Dam bridge reopened today, but not before a celebration to recognize the dam's 50th anniversary.
The bridge has been closed for more than a year while construction crews rebuilt the highway crossing the top of the dam.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers promised the $15.6 million project would take 13 months to complete, and it made good on that promise.
A public ceremony to celebrate the dam's 50th anniversary took place at 10 a.m. on Friday. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Col. Richard Pratt, Tulsa mayor Dewey Bartlett, as well as the Mannford mayor, Will Rogers High School JROTC and Miss Creek County were in attendance.
The bridge over the dam reopened at 3 p.m.
