A Tulsa singer had an unexpected encounter with one of the stars of the Harry Potter universe who was in town for Comic Con. Tom Felton, also known as Draco Malfoy, got his groove on listening to the local music scene Monday following the first-ever Comic Con convention.
Well-known Tulsa artist Rebecca Ungerman performs at the Brookside Whole Foods every Monday at lunchtime. She noticed a group of young men in a booth who were clearly enjoying the music she and bassist Jordan Hehl were playing.
"They were there for the whole second second set, and the second we were done, he came right right over," she said.
Felton bought a couple of Ungerman's CDs before she recognized him. Even though she's a huge fan of the Harry Potter movies, Felton is a few years older and without his trademark white-blond hair.

"I'm so glad I didn't realize who he was right at first," Ungerman laughed. "I suffer from self-diagnosed celebrity proximity disorder."
Once fellow musician Jordan Hehl told her who she'd just met, Ungerman went back to Felton's booth and presented him with a third CD.
"Malfoy has my stuff - I'm so excited," she said. "Once I looked into his blue eyes, I thought, 'Oh, my goodness.'"
Ungerman said Felton stayed over after the Comic Con because he's working on a documentary about fans, and Tulsa was the first stop for filming. He and his friends spent quite a while in Whole Foods, talking to the public.
"He was incredibly polite - so sweet," she said.
"He said he'd never eaten in a supermarket before and seen any lovely music like this," she said. "You just never know who is going to drop by Musical Mondays at Whole Foods!"
