Tulsa International Airport wants travelers to be ready when they fly over the upcoming holidays and the TSA wants to remind passengers what not to bring when flying.

The Transportation Security Administration showed off just a fraction of the 50 million prohibited items its agents have intercepted in carry-on luggage across the U.S. since 9-11.

The items included large cans of hair spray, pocket knifes and a number of items which look like weapons. The TSA says the most unusual thing someone has tried to carry onboard a flight was a fake claymore mine.

TSA also reminded travelers of the 3-1-1 liquids rule. It states any liquids, aerosols and creams must be in a 3-ounce or smaller container and inside a clear plastic quart-sized bag. And only one bag is allowed per passenger in a TSA screening bin.

It also encourages passengers to arrive at Tulsa International Airport two hours before their flights to allow time to go through the security checkpoint.

The TSA offered one more piece of advice concerning Christmas presents.

"If you are going to bring packages that you are taking to your family, do not wrap the packages. If the packages come in and are wrapped and we have to search them then we will have to take that wrapping off," said TSA officer Mark Alexander.

TSA has a list of the prohibited items on its website.
