Tulsa police searched a wooded area for a woman's body on Saturday night.

Investigators were dispatched to the woods behind Lowe's at 71st Street and U.S. Highway 169 just before 10:30 p.m.

Police said the call originally came in as a witness finding a dead body in the woods, but after arriving to the scene, they were able to find out more information. They said a homeless couple were living behind the store and the wife had a medical issue and died. The man left his wife went to the Krispy Kreme store nearby and called for help.

After combing the area, the woman's body was recovered.

The Tulsa Fire Department and EMSA also responded.
