A Bixby man was in a collision that killed the passenger in another vehicle, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers say Nathan Tenison of Bixby was driving on a county road about four miles west of Eufaula at 8:19 p.m. Monday. Tenison ran a stop sign at Highway 9 and hit a Chevrolet Uplander on the passenger side, a collision report states.
The passenger in the Chevrolet, 58-year-old David Hanks, died of head and other injuries. Brandon Hanks, the 24-year-old driver of the Uplander, was treated and released from a Eufaula hospital.
Both men were from Seminole and were father and son, the OHP confirmed.
Tenison, 28, was taken by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital where he is said to be stable with head and leg injuries.
Authorities say Tenison's condition at the time of the wreck is under investigation. The cause of the collision is listed as failure to stop.
All of the men were wearing seat belts, and weather conditions were cloudy with misting rain, the investigating trooper said. Vivian Fire Department assisted in the wreck.
