City of Tulsa water department employees are working to repair a pair of water main breaks early Friday.
The first break involved a 4-inch water line at 51st and Irvington at about 3 a.m. The second break is a 16-inch water line in west Tulsa at 61st and Union in the backyard of a home. Workers said the line broke about 10 p.m. Thursday.
The city says water has been shut off and work is underway to replace both lines.
Workers expect repairs to the 51st and Irvington break be completed Friday morning. They said work on repairing the break at 61st and Union may take all day Friday because the break is located under a storm sewer and other buried utility lines.
Officials say this break has left 50 customers without water and another 40 homes with low water pressure.
