One Man Responsible For Signs At Tulsa State Fair

Thursday was the start of the Tulsa State Fair, and as you make your way around you'll notice signs everywhere – direction signs, information signs, banners – and they were all hung my one man.

For the past few weeks, Mike Weathers has taken a lift truck all over the fairgrounds hanging signs.

"I've hung at least about, close to around 500 signs this year," he said.

He's hung signs in parking lots, on ceilings and even way up high on the pavilion.

The only thing that is not so much fun is days when it's windy.

He said he doesn't hang the vendor's signs along the midway, they hang those themselves, but everything else is pretty much his.

“It's different than any other job, I enjoy, it it's a lot of fun,” Weathers said.
