Tulsa Police arrested a man with a long criminal history and about $15,000 in stolen goods in his car, according to an arrest report. Robert Dean Mabry is in the Tulsa County Jail on numerous complaints including burglary, possession of stolen goods and possession of methamphetamine, all after former felony convictions.
Police stopped Mabry's car in the 1300 block of South Sheridan late Monday night on a traffic violation. They learned he was driving under suspension and saw a large bottle of vodka in the backseat, within reach.
After arresting him, they say they also found methamphetamine, paraphernalia, burglary tools and a large amount of what appeared to be stolen goods.
"There were several large bags containing jewelry, wrapped Christmas presents and items which appeared to be of great worth," the arresting officer said in his report.
Someone else in the car told police the items had been taken from a home near 21st and Utica. Mabry initially told officers the items belonged to his mother but eventually confessed that the goods were stolen, the arrest report states.
Mabry, 50, has a long criminal record in Tulsa County dating back to the early '90s. He has been incarcerated for cultivation of marijuana, drug possession and other offenses.September 23rd, 2014
