Tulsa's Family Safety Center Helps Domestic Abuse Victims

Headlines of domestic violence associated with players in the NFL has ignited nationwide awareness of the issue.  

A Tulsa domestic violence survivor and councilor says domestic violence happens in every community across Oklahoma and the country. 

The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence reports in Oklahoma, law enforcement responds to an average of 15,000 domestic violence calls each year. 

Officials who work with survivors in Tulsa say anyone can be a victim. They see men, women and children of all ages and backgrounds. 

If you are a victim of domestic abuse, you need to go to or call the Family Safety Center in downtown Tulsa at the Civic Center.
