Tie up your laces for Tulsa's "triple crown" of races.

The three biggest races of the area are teaming up to create the Tulsa Triple Challenge.

The brand-new program will reward runners or walkers who finish a timed event at this weekend's quarter marathon, October's Tulsa Run, and the Route 66 Marathon in November.

"These three events are all centered around downtown Tulsa and it's a nice series of events in that they're all progressively different distances,” Fleet Feet owner Tim Dreiling said.

Organizers expect about 500 people to accept the challenge.

Runners need to register for the Triple Crown separately from the individual runs, but the registration is free.
