Hawgs4Dogs Poker Run Held In Mannford Saturday

It's all-day entertainment at Freddie's Steakhouse in Mannford as Hawgs4Dogs takes to the streets to help abandoned and neglected animals.

Registration for Hawgs4Dogs Poker Run and rescue event is underway at Freddie's Steak House in Mannford. The last bike will be back in at 5 p.m.

Prizes include $1,000 in cash for first place, $250 for second and a Harley grill set for third. But even if you don't ride, you can still rescue.

Enjoy music and other entertainment including an auction with 50 percent of the proceeds going to the Oklahoma Rescue Rangers Disaster Team. The rescue organization is dedicated helping take abandoned and neglected animals from the streets and finding them foster homes until permanent homes can be located.

Mrs. Oklahoma 2014 Danella Burwell kicked off the Hawgs4Dogs poker run. Other special guests include Tulsa therapy dog Bella Rose.

Cleveland resident Brenda Williams founded the organization several years ago and helped rescue some of the animals left behind as owners evacuated their homes in the Mannford wildfires in 2012.
