Tulsa Police say a cashier was pistol whipped during an armed robbery of the Taco Bell on 71st just east of Riverside Drive. There were customers in the fast food restaurant at the time of the robbery, but none of them were injured.
Police say a young man about 18 years old wearing a black shirt and camo pants came into the Taco Bell and demanded money from the cashier just after 6 p.m. He had a pink bandana covering his mouth and nose, according to Sergeant Brian Carlisle with the Tulsa Police Department.
He hit one of the employees with a handgun, but that person did not require hospitalization. The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police say.
Carlisle said they will be reviewing surveillance video from the store to learn more about the robbery.
