A steak cook-off competition raises money for charity and features the largest steak dinner in Oklahoma, according to organizers.
Steak is already sizzling on the grill in downtown Tulsa in the 6th and Cincinnati area.
The annual Oklahoma Steak Cook-Off attracts chefs from across the country who will grill up to 4,000 pounds of steak. Hungry Oklahomans can buy a steak and unlimited side dishes for $20, according to the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce.
Last year they served over 2,500 people with about 50 teams participating. There will also be a car and motorcycle show, vendors, live music and activities for the kids.
This year's cook-off goes to benefit the Tulsa Zoo, with help from Tulsa Young Professionals. The cook-off will also benefit several community gardens throughout the city.
The Oklahoma Championship Steak Cook-Off is a non-profit group.
