The heat will continue across eastern Oklahoma for next few days with temperatures forecast to be over 100 degrees Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory from 1 until 7 p.m. Friday. The advisory includes Nowata, Osage, Rogers, Tulsa and Washington counties.
News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says hot and humid conditions are expected across eastern Oklahoma for weekend. He says a ridge of high pressure is locking in the high temps with little chance for rain. There is slight chance for isolated showers in the Tulsa area Friday afternoon, however.
Heat indices are expected to reach around 105 degrees each day this weekend.
