Good news for gamers all across Green Country as the city of Tulsa announced Wednesday a big video game convention is coming to town.
The conference is called XPO and will take place next October. Wednesday, the logo was released and we were told a little about the event.
It will be a conference highlighting all aspects of gaming. There will be several game developers and vendors showing off the latest video games and technologies.
Tournaments, panels, concerts and even a gaming costume contest will be part of the fun.
It’s all thanks to three organizations - The George Kaiser Family Foundation, SMG and New Medio - who are working with Visit Tulsa. They said this is something local game developers are really looking forward to.
"I can tell you first hand that the city desperately wants an event of this focus and magnitude. People want to share their passions and develop careers out of it," said President of Bonozo Games, Matt Harmon.
After next year, conference organizers said they hope to make XPO an annual event.
