Editor's note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the school bus was from Mounds School District.

A Morris school bus was involved in a collision that injured eight juveniles, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. It happened shortly before 8 a.m. Monday.

Troopers say the bus was carrying 20 juvenile passengers when it was rear ended on Highway 62 at 300 Road in Okmulgee County.

Eight of the juveniles reported injury, but their conditions are not known. News On 6 has requested additional information from the Morris School District.

The investigating trooper says bus driver Lori S. Vinsant of Morris had slowed to turn south when the bus was struck from behind by a four-door Dodge driven by Aisha Lang of Boynton.

Neither driver was injured.

The collision report says Lang was following too closely. Both drivers were in normal condition at the time of the wreck, according to the OHP.
