Man With Possible Medical Condition Dies In East Tulsa Crash

A driver with a possible medical condition crashed into a utility pole on Saturday morning and died.

The collision took place in the 10400 block of East Pine Street around 11 a.m.

Tulsa Police Corporal J.D. Curran says they do not know the cause of the wreck but did learn the victim had just gotten back into town after a long flight. There is no indication alcohol was involved, he said.

Witnesses saw the truck weaving before it veered to the right, took out a couple of signs and then hit the power pole. The victim was a 56-year-old man. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Tulsa police haven’t said whether the impact or his medical state were the cause of his death.
