Oklahoma Senator Says Negative Campaign Ads Cross Line

Tom Coburn weighed in on negative ads paid for by outside groups supporting T.W. Shannon, saying they have crossed an important line and are, simply, not truthful.

Coburn said the ads mischaracterized Lankford's service in Congress. He added, Lankford is a man of absolute integrity and can make good decisions because he is not a career politician.

Oklahomans for a Conservative Future have spent more than $800,000 on ads supporting Shannon, and more than $200,000 on ads attacking Lankford.
