Hundreds were walking and running for more than 12 hours at the Guthrie Green on Friday.
It was all for a good cause.
The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life had hundreds of participants.
It all started Friday at 6 p.m. and continued until 6 a.m. on Saturday.
The event raised money for cancer research, but it's also a time for friends and families to come together.
"It's a time for us to reflect on the loved ones we know who have battled this disease," volunteer Kristen Schooley said. "And, a lot of times we have a lot of friends and family who are fighting cancer and it just becomes part of your everyday life and this is the time when settle down and really think about the ways we can fight cancer and pay tribute to those people."
Relay for Life events across the country also raise money for programs to help support cancer patients and their families.
