Tulsa Public Schools has announced their new chief of Campus Police who will replace a retiring Gary Rudick. The school board will vote on his selection June 2.

James Hill served as the Salina, Kansas police chief for 22 years. He recently moved to Tulsa to be closer to his son, a Tulsa Police sergeant. Before overseeing the Salina Police Department, Hill spent 18 years as an officer in Lincoln, Nebraska.

"Mr. Hill comes to us with extensive law enforcement experience as a police chief in Salina, Kansas, where he worked collaboratively with community stakeholders and had a very successful career," said Superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard.
