A Louisiana fugitive wanted for murder has been arrested in Claremore. Claremore Police say they were notified by the U.S. Marshal Service in Shreveport that Jake Robinson might be living there.
Robinson, 60, is wanted in connection to a murder that took place 10 years ago in Shreveport.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office says Robinson was wanted in connection to the death of a man named Bruce Cotton. Cotton was a 51-year-old carpenter who disappeared in February of 2004.
Two boys going fishing found Cotton's Olds 98 on the shoulder of a road with Cotton's body inside.
Detective Terry Richardson continued to follow leads for 10 years, the Sheriff's Office said. Recent publicity generated evidence that lead to Robinson's arrest, a release states.
Robinson worked for a Green Country public school, according to the release. Claremore police say the school hired him in 2007 for a short time but let him go after a background check.
