A 31-year-old Tulsa man is dead after he struck a truck head on Saturday morning and was ejected along U.S. Highway 412 east of Chouteau, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

According to a collision report, Joshua Laughlin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Laughlin was driving a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer and was eastbound in the inside lane about 11 a.m. when he entered a broad slide, departed the road left into the median and struck a westbound 2007 Dodge 3500. The car hit the truck at the driver's side wheel.

Laughlin was ejected from his car. According to OHP, he wasn't wearing a seat belt.

Stilwell's Marty Kester, 33, was driving the truck and was not injured. OHP said Kester was properly restrained.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
