Flights leaving Tulsa for Chicago's O'Hare and Midway airports have been delayed due to a fire at an FAA facility in Elgin, Illinois, according to the FAA.

The agency says the Elgin Terminal Radar Approach Control facility was evacuated at about 11:30 a.m. due to smoke in the building.

CBS News reports the FAA issued a ground stop at O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airports, meaning all flights in and out of the airports were halted.

A check of Tulsa International Airport's web site shows several flights to Chicago on American and United have been delayed and one United flight canceled.
