A judge sentenced a Tulsa woman to 11 years in prison for stalking and violating protective orders.

Steven Province and Ashley Tickel say a previous felony charge, probation and an ankle monitor didn't stop Province's ex-girlfriend, Lauren Baker, from following them, sending threatening and hateful text messages and calling Tickel's job.

When Baker pleaded guilty, the judge told her to apply to the Women in Recovery program as a way to get help and avoid time behind bars.

In court Monday, the judge said, although Baker was accepted into the program, she refused to participate, so he gave her prison time instead.
